The Film

Each year we recruit a cast of teenagers in foster care programs. They create an original musical from the stories of their lives. This year we will adapt the powerful show into a feature film.

Our Mission

There are 513,000 children living in foster care in the United States. Only 6% will even graduate from a community college. Imagine if their lives could change. Imagine if we could provide a brighter future. With your help, it is possible.

Give voice to these untold stories, and create a better future for foster care youth. Get more people involved in their lives and futures, and give our nation’s most vulnerable youth a better chance for independence and success.

The Possibility Project Presents

We are a nationally recognized nonprofit organization operating three programs for youth in New York City. We also works with partner organizations in four additional U.S. cities, Israel, and Cape Town, South Africa.

Our Scope

We will take the film to cities across the nation to give hope to foster care youth for a better tomorrow. They will be empowered by their peers to look inside and change their own lives.

Award Winning Filmmaker

Juan Carlos Pineiro Escoriaza is a writer & director. His first documentary, Second Skin, premiered at SXSW Film Festival, won numerous awards, and was named #4 documentary of 2008 by Ain’t It Cool News.
